The Life and Legacy of Tina Turner

Tina Turner, first known as Anna Mae Bullock, was born in 1939 in a small town called Nutbush, Tennessee. Despite growing up with not much money and facing tough times, she worked super hard and chased her dreams, which led her to become a legendary singer!

In 1957, Tina teamed up with Ike Turner's band, and they became the famous duo Ike & Tina Turner. They rocked the stage with awesome shows and hit songs like 'Proud Mary,' and became super popular even though they didn't always get along offstage.

Tina had a tough time after splitting from Ike in 1978. But she rocked it on her own with her 1984 album 'Private Dancer,' which proved she's an all-time great in rock and soul music.

Not just an awesome singer, Tina Turner also rocked it in movies, like in 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome'. She even wrote a book about her life, 'I, Tina', which turned into the movie 'What's Love Got to Do with It'.
