Open Google Maps App
To start, launch the Google Maps app on your Android phone. Ensure you have location services enabled for accurate sharing. This app is pre-installed on most Android devices and is a reliable tool for location sharing.
Access Location Sharing Feature
Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner, then select 'Location sharing'. This feature is not just for maps; it can also be integrated with other apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
Choose Sharing Duration
Select how long you wish to share your location, ranging from 15 minutes to 24 hours. Interestingly, you can also choose to share indefinitely until you turn it off manually.
Select Contacts to Share
Pick the contacts you want to share your location with. You can share via direct contact selection or generate a link. Surprisingly, the link can be opened on any device, even without Google Maps installed.
Monitor and Manage Sharing
